Introduction to start at 11am, light lunch at 12.30, painting and design from 1 to 2.30. If anyone would like to bring along some wine, they are welcome!

People attending should bring: botanical images for inspiration they would love to use as a reference; a ruler, eraser, any paintbrushes and paints they would love to use, all of the basics will be provided.

R450 per a person. Includes a light lunch, beverages and materials .


Floor Mat Workshop

Come and learn how to make your own durable and decorative painted floor mat. Originally made by Amish settlers out of sailcloth and painted to replicate Persian carpets. These mats are perfect for kitchens, bathrooms and verandas . There will be lots of pre-cut stencils to use and there will also be materials to make your own stencils.

Woodblock Printmaking Workshop

9th - 10th May

Your days will be spent at The Old Mushroom Farm, learning the art of Colour Woodblock Printmaking and your evening, relaxing at your Cottage with new friends.

Colour block prints are produced by cutting two or more wood blocks and printing them in register with one another.
This ancient form of graphic art production allows the artist to create
multiple original prints.

The classes (Saturday and Sunday) will run from 8 -5pm each day, with an hour lunch break and some time in between for coffee and refreshments.

A delicious light lunch and beverages will be provided.
Breakfast and Dinner will be self catering with the option to purchase your meals from the cafe on site.
